As a company that uses natural materials, we have a responsibility to the environment and our world. All the wood used in our products is "select harvested" regionally. Additionally, today's milling practices put to use 99.9% of the material from every tree harvested. Even waste product is not wasted. Adapt keeps close watch of organizations that oversee these operations and set standards for responsible practice. And with our operations, heavily rooted in the Amish community, we are making every effort to utilize renewable energy (in the form of solar and wind power) among other sustainable practices. But our most creative approach begins with design.
Sustainability begins in the design process. In order for our products to sustain themselves in the market place we must consider catalyzing them with qualities that provide a longer life. On one level, authentic materials does this, however, additional flexibility allows our products to adapt to new possibilities to serve your needs. We enrich our products with more possibilities through smart proportioning and more adaptive functionality, adding value to the product over time.
